Erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation — what treatment works best?

Testosterone falls gradually with age, and low levels can cause reduced libido, erectile difficulty, fatigue, low mood, reduced muscle mass and poor concentration. Diagnosis requires care. Levels vary considerably through the day, so the sample should be taken in the morning, and a single low result should be repeated before any treatment. Acute illness, poor sleep and obesity all lower readings temporarily. One point that matters enormously if you are trying to conceive: testosterone replacement suppresses sperm production, often severely, and can cause infertility that takes many months to reverse and occasionally does not fully reverse. Men are still prescribed testosterone while trying to conceive, and it is among the more damaging avoidable errors in this area. If low testosterone is confirmed and fertility is a current concern, alternative approaches that raise testosterone without suppressing sperm production exist and should be discussed. Please see a urologist, andrologist or endocrinologist rather than obtaining testosterone through gyms or online. Tell whoever prescribes it that you are trying to conceive.
